How we scored them
We started with the roofing companies that appear most often in Omaha search results, then kept the ones with a BBB profile and a Google listing in the Omaha area. Each company gets a score out of 100 from 3 public numbers:
- Google rating, 40 points. A 4.0 earns 0 points and a 5.0 earns 40. Below 4.0 earns nothing.
- Number of Google reviews, 30 points. More reviews make the rating more reliable. Scored on a log scale, so 1,000 reviews earns the full 30 and 100 reviews earns 20.
- Years in business, 30 points. Based on the start date on the company's BBB profile. 40 years or more earns the full 30.
Every company on this list has the same BBB rating (A+), so the BBB rating doesn't change the order. The score is a starting point for your shortlist, not a judgment of workmanship. Ratings change, so check each company's current reviews before you hire.

How to choose between them
- Shortlist 2 or 3. Pick companies that do the work you need. Some focus on residential repair, others do a lot of commercial or siding work.
- Check registration. Search each name in the Nebraska Department of Labor contractor registration search.
- Compare written estimates line by line. Same materials, same scope, same warranty terms.
- Ask about insurance claims. For storm damage, ask how they document damage for your insurer. Remember that in Nebraska, a contractor cannot pay or waive your deductible. Read more in our roof repair guide.

CallQuestions
Who is the best roofing company in Omaha?
There is no single best roofer for every job. Using public data from October 2026, Hometown Roofing, Home Pride Contractors and McCoy Roofing scored highest on our combination of Google rating, review volume and years in business. Always get at least 2 written estimates for your specific roof.
Did you inspect these roofers' work?
No. This comparison is based only on public information: Google ratings and review counts, and the Better Business Bureau's rating and business history. We have not inspected any company's work, and no company paid to be listed or ranked.
If I call your number, will I reach one of these companies?
Not necessarily. The phone number on this site connects you with a local roofing company through a referral partner that pays us for the call. That company may not be on this list. To reach a company on this list directly, use its own website.
How often is this list updated?
We check the ratings, review counts and BBB details at least every 6 months, and sooner after a major storm season. The date at the top of the page shows the last check.
